Research Check-List
Think about your topic. Brainstorm with yourself! What are some possible subject terms you could use to search for resources about your topic? Try them. Review your results. Are you finding what you need?
Here is a basic check-list of "things to do" when conducting research:
- Know about Interlibrary LoanObtain materials you have identified that are important for your research and the library does not have in its collection. We can borrow for your free of charge from another library.
- Search USF Libraries CatalogLook here for books, journals, media and other materials the library may have about your topic.
- Search the Architecture databasesIdentify and search appropriate dance databases for your topic.
- Search WorldCatSearch WorldCat to identify additional resources owned by other libraries that may be useful for your research.
- Refer to Citing SourcesUse this page to find out information about how to cite sources using the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Go to the Writing CenterThe Writing Center offers assistance to any student who wants to improve his or her writing skills. It is a place for writers of all skill levels to take chances, ask questions, and further develop their writing abilities.
