Research Check-List
Think about your topic. Brainstorm with yourself! What are some possible subject terms you could use to search for resources about your topic? Try them. Review your results. Are you finding what you need?
Here is a basic check-list of "things to do" when conducting research:
- Search USF Libraries CatalogLook here for books, journals, media and other materials to identify if the library has materials about your topic.
- Search the Art & Art History databasesIdentify and search appropriate Art & Art History databases for your topic.
- Search WorldCatSearch WorldCat to identify additional resources owned by other libraries that may be useful for your research.
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL): How to Get Materials USF Does Not OwnUse ILL to borrow materials you have identified as important for your research, USF does not own and is available to borrow from another library.
- Go to the Writing CenterThe Writing Center offers assistance to any student who wants to improve his or her writing skills. It is a place for writers of all skill levels to take chances, ask questions, and further develop their writing abilities.
