Where to Look

The study of Theatre is a very complex discipline because there are so many aspects of Theatre that are interdisciplinary.  There are many places to look for information.  Here are some ideas of where to begin to look for information.

When you are looking for:

  • SCRIPTS - Check the USF Library Catalog to see if it is in our print and e-book collection.
  • DESIGN - There are many article databases, image databases, print books and e-books about design.

  • PLAYWRIGHT - Search Biography databases for information about the playwright.
  • ARTICLES ABOUT A PLAY OR A PLAYWRIGHT - Search general and Theatre specific databases for articles about plays, design, and other aspects of theatre.
  • REVIEWS - Locate newspaper articles by searching the theatre databases for reviews about plays.
  • WATCH A PLAY - Access Theatre in Video to view a play.
