As part of the USF response to COVID-19, the USF Libraries are closed.
We have been working diligently behind the scenes preparing LIB Guides (one stop library resource websites) to support students and faculty as we transition to remote instruction and learning. We have enhanced support in document delivery and ILL, scanned weeks of course reserves, and more. Please use the library guides below to stay up to date, and check back regularly. Refer to this helpful Quick Guide for a complete list of services and availability.
We are here to help!
In order to access many of the Libraries' electronic articles, books, media, etc., you need to be authenticated as a USF student or employee. Our Connect from Off Campus page provides three ways to be authenticated:
Need access to a print book? HathiTrust Digital Library Can Help
The HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service provides immediate online access to digitized items on the HathiTrust platform that are held by the libraries. This includes over a third of the libraries' print collection.
Course Reserves, Textbook Affordability Project (TAP), and Digital Scholarship Services (DSS) are working to provide digital access to the next few weeks of readings from the physical materials on reserve at the Tampa Library's Library Services Desk. Syllabi are being reviewed via Canvas and reserves activated so students will be able to access them in their courses' Canvas site. We are starting with the larger courses and the materials that have the highest circulation currently, and will strive to provide for the greatest amount of students. We are able to scan print items, but the Tampa Library does not have the capacity to digitize media materials (such as DVDs) that are on reserve. We are continuing to add to the list of completed courses and sections posted on Course Material Scanning and Reserves.
