Office of the Dean

News, announcements, and greetings from the Dean

Message from the Interim Dean

After more than 7 years as Dean of the University of South Florida Libraries, William A. Garrison announced his resignation in July.  Dean Garrison’s departure is a loss to USF and we are grateful for his service.  During his tenure, Dean Garrison made our libraries the heart of campus life. In the near future, we will begin a national search for the Libraries’ next permanent Dean.

On to the new semester! We are looking forward to the return of our new and continuing students and faculty. During the summer we gave our website a new and fresh appearance based on your input. We also completed some important building maintenance projects and hired new librarians and staff. Preparations for your return kept us very busy, but it is all worth it when the library fills your energy and enthusiasm.

Your feedback and comments are always welcome. Feel free to email me directly at tchavez@usf.edu. Welcome!
