The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks written by Rebecca Skloot was first published in 2010 and immediately received notoriety by becoming a New York Times best-seller.

The author and book were featured on Oprah, NPR, and many other radio and television shows.  The book has been translated into 25 languages, made into an HBO movie, a documentary, received numerous awards, and so on.

Finding information about the book is simple with a Google search, but nothing can prepare you for what you will learn when you actually read the book.  So what are you waiting for?
