Library Resources
Library resources available to USF Honors College students fall into three main categories:
- physical resources within the USF Tampa Library building, including:
- printed materials (primarily books, journals, and magazines). Note: You can check out items from the Library's Circulating Collection for up to 30 days, and then renew them online if needed.
- microform-format materials (primarily historical newspapers, other periodicals, and education-oriented reports)
- multimedia (including DVDs and CDs)
- rare or unique items held by the Special and Digital Collections area
- computers with Microsoft Office software and Internet access, including laptop computers that you can use in the Library by checking it out at the Circulation Desk
- printers and copiers
- study spaces, including group study rooms (visit the Circulation Desk to obtain a group study room)
- online resources available from the USF Tampa Library's website (www.lib.usf.edu), including:
- USF Libraries Catalog, which can be searched to identify items (books, periodical titles, and multimedia) held by the USF Libraries
- e-books (linked to directly from the Catalog)
- databases containing full-text of or indexes to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles
- services, including:
- reference/research service provided by librarians (face-to-face, phone, email, chat, and text message)
- consultation appointments with a librarian. Note: You can make the appointment with the Honors College Librarian, or another librarian listed on the Specialist Librarians page.
- interlibrary loan (ILL), which you can use to obtain items from other institutions if they are not held by the USF Libraries
- binding services for the USF Honors Thesis
