Physical material donations are not being accepted at this time.

  • Can I check out a laptop?

Laptops are available for 30-day checkout at both the Shimberg Library and the Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange.

  • I have items checked out from the library. Can I renew or return them?

Log in here to check your due dates and (for some items) request renewal. Contact us at HealthLibServices@usf.edu or 813-974-8432 for renewal assistance or other questions. Please return laptops, UBorrows, ILL materials, and SonoSims to the desk where they were checked out, during normal hours of operation. Books belonging to any USF library may be returned to any USF library, or to the outdoor book drop near parking lot 30 south of Shimberg Library.

Returned items may remain on your record for up to 7 days before being processed, but will be backdated at check-in.

  • I need a book or an article, but it is not available online. What do I do?
Articles and book chapters can be obtained via interlibrary loan, or scanned from our print collection. Books may be borrowed by browsing the Shimberg Library circulating collection, or placing a request in the UBorrow or ILLiad systems. Books can be mailed to your home address if you are unable to pick them up at the library. Place a book or article request. (For help with ILLiad, watch this short video tutorial.)
