According to Merriam-Webster, Age is the length of an existence extending from the beginning to any given time.

Age is different from many other forms of diversity because it is constantly changing and inevitable. While you cannot change your sexuality or race, every living being on this planet ages.

Ageism is discrimination based on age. For more info, check out the Research Starter from Salem Press Encyclopedia of Health.
