The USF Health Office of Research, under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Research, provides centralized services and shared resources for the colleges to facilitate their research missions. We also foster cross-college, interdisciplinary, research endeavors and funding opportunities, including interactions with our affiliates and teaching hospitals. Each college has an Office of Research which enables research within its infrastructure.
USF Health provides biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methodology consultative services through a collaborative core, consisting of faculty from the Morsani College of Medicine and the College of Public Health. The overarching goal of the Core is to enhance research within the USF Health community. Like other cores, it is important to maintain a fiscally sound unit in order to have the best faculty, staff, and equipment available to perform these services and to be our collaborators. Cost recovery for consultation from this core is by grants, contracts, or on a fee-for-service basis. Students, medical residents, fellows, and others who are in training should contact their appropriate programs since there may be prior arrangements in place.
