Access to the USF Library Catalog

The USF Library catalog can be accessed from outside the library. However, full text sources, such as ebooks, documents and journals can only be accessed from inside the library.

USF Libraries Catalog

To find books and other materials, use the USF Libraries Catalog.

Search tips:

  • When searching by keyword, use quotations to search for words together
  • Browse the Subject Headings to find relevant keywords
  • Refine you search by using the facets in the left column of the results screen
  • If many of the books on your subject are in the same call number area, you may want to browse in the stacks
  • Pay attention to the location of the book. The The USF Libraries catalog contains materials located at all USF libraries.
  • Check the circulation status. Books that are available should be in the stacks. If a book is checked out, the record will list the due date

E-Books

Many e-books can be accessed by non-USF students as long as they are in the library. However, some e-book publishers do not allow access unless you are a registered USF student with an ID.
