BUL 3320: Law & Business I: St. Petersburg

Introduction

This guide will help you find resources for completing your research. It has links to both library databases and to trusted organizations available on the Internet. There are also some tips for doing web searches for relevant information.

Before using, I suggest you log in to the library so you can access journal articles and ebooks easily. The link for that is: https://lib.usf.edu/login.php.  This will also help if you search Google Scholar, since you will be able access the articles available through the library.

Tips for searching the Web

These tips can help you find more relevant information from trusted sources when using Google and other search engines.

  1. Use quotation marks around phrases - "health disparities" instead of health disparities
  2. Add the 'filetype:' search  to find reports and white papers - filetype:pdf
  3. Add the 'site:' to find information at specific web sites or domains:
    1. site:.int to find information at intergovernmental organizations
    2. site:hhs.gov - to find information at a specific web site (like the U.S. Department of Health & Human Service)
