Use the US Census Bureau's NAICS database to find the industry code. You can use it to search for industry-specific information in the databases

Do a web search for the industry's national association and mine it's web page for information, reports, and news items. Just search for industry keywords and add the phrase "trade association." Such as pet supplies trade association.
