As the primary source for US criminal justice statistics, BJS collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates information on crime, criminal offenders, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.
National, nonprofit organization of state Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) directors, researchers, and practitioners throughout government, academia, and criminal justice organizations. Created in 1974, JRSA serves to promote the exchange of information among the SACs, enabling them to work towards common goals, and to serve as a liaison between the state agencies and the Justice Department.
