Best Practices for Subject/Course/General LibGuides at USF
Friendly URLs
Friendly URLs make it easy to quickly see and understand the purpose of the guide. For example, /g=46515&p=365289 is not intuitive but guides.lib.usf.edu/browzine carries meaning.
Friendly URLs should always be lowercase.
Don't use spaces! Combine multiple words into one word.
Friendly URLs for course guides should use the course number AND campus abbreviation of tam, stp, or sar (e.g. guides.lib.usf.edu/mmc2100stp)
Friendly URLs for course guides for special topics courses should consist of the course prefix, number, and title (e.g. enc4930feministpedagogy)
