Student Research Journals

For USF World Languages students, consider submitting your research papers, book reviews, and other original work for publication in one of the following student research journals.  

Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish

Kennesaw Tower 
  • Publishes high quality, peer reviewed undergraduate research projects in five languages.  Open to students from any university

 

French

Equinoxes 

  • Published yearly by the graduate students of Brown University 's Department of French Studies since 1993, Equinoxes provides a forum for graduate students in French and Francophone studies to publish scholarly articles, book reviews, interviews, commentaries on the field, short fiction, poetry and translations.
     

Women in French - Graduate Essay Award

  • The best essay will be published in the yearly WIF Studies, a refereed journal. The winner will also receive $500. Essays in French or English dealing with women in French or Francophone Literature or Civilization should be between 15 and 20 pages (double-spaced), including notes and works cited.
     

L’Indécis au Précis (IP) 

  • An annual, peer-reviewed journal that publishes on French and francophone cultural topics in the humanities and social sciences. Founded in 2018, IP is a student-run, open-access undergraduate journals from the University of California system.

 

McGill Science Undergraduate Research Journal 

  • A student-run initiative to promote and support undergraduate research. The journal offers undergraduate students from any university the unique opportunity to publish their findings to the McGill research community. 

 

Spectrum Undergraduate Research Journal  

  • Spectrum is a student run, collaborative undergraduate research journal that is committed to producing thought-provoking, insightful and dynamic interdisciplinary content from the liberal arts to the natural sciences. Through this journal, we strive to represent the individual perspectives of our writers, and authentically communicate both their academic and creative works to our readers. 

 

Spanish

Letras Hispanas: Revista de Literatura y Cultura

  • A peer-reviewed, open-access online journal dedicated to publishing scholarly essays that engage topics in connection with Spanish, Latin American, and US Latino literatures and cultures. It is an annual publication and is listed and indexed in the MLA International Bibliography.  Produced by the Department of Modern Languages at Texas State University.

 

Al principio 

  • A student poetry journal published by the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi National Spanish Honors Society. Written exclusively in Spanish, the journal gives students the opportunity to publish their creative work. Produced by the Department of Modern Languages at Texas State University.

 

Tinta: Graduate Student Journal

  • A peer-reviewed journal published annually by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese graduate students at UC Santa Barbara.  Manuscripts must be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Galician, or English.
