This guide is a list of print and electronic indexes to German periodicals from the 17th-21st centuries. Indexes to specific titles, periods, subjects, and geographic areas are included as well as descriptive guides and relevant online websites.

ARD is the parent organization for a number of German broadcasting institutions, including Das Erste, Deutsche Welle, and many regional stations (Bayerischer Rundfunk--BR, Norddeutscher Rundfunk--NDR, Westdeutscher Rundfunk--WDR, etc.) Many broadcasts can be streamed. The DDB is a publically-funded portal into cultural and scholarly items in German collections, including a large number of digitized items. German and English interfaces.
