EndNote 20

Migrating to EndNote 20 from EndNote x9

If you are using EndNote X9.2 or earlier, you will need to convert your library when it is opened the first time. If you have an EndNote Online account, EndNote 20 will automaticaly populate when you open and sync with your online account. According to Clarivate, both the old and new versions can co-exist but only one can be linked to Word for CWYW and only one can automatically open text files when directly exporting from sources.

Setting up EndNote 20

After you have successfully installed EndNote 20, you need to set a new EndNote Library. Your EndNote Library is stored on your computer.

Your EndNote LIbrary should be housed in your Documents folder. Do not store your EndNote Library on a network drive or any cloud synching folder, such as Box, DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive or iCloud.

You are now ready to add citations and documents to your EndNote library
