About Synthesis Digital Library of Engineering and Computer Science

Synthesis is a resource organized into series, each pertaining to a different topic in the field of engineering and computer science. Series include: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Management, Digital Circuits & Systems, Power Electronics, and Tissue Engineering. Lectures can be found within each series consisting of 50- to 100-page e-books written by prominent contributors to the field. Some Lectures also include enhancements such as animations, code, and audio. The Lectures offer synthesis, analysis, and depth in each topic and serve as ideal entry points to new areas for researchers, advanced developers, and students

Use Restrictions

This collection can be accessed by an unlimited number of users simultaneously. Remote access is limited to USF students, faculty and staff. Non USF users can access the collection using a computer at the USF Library.

E-Books in the Classroom

Instructors can now request the USF Libraries to acquire e-Books for classroom support if they are available electronically.

Viewing, Downloading, Printing

Book chapters are in PDF and may be read in the browser using Adobe reader plugin. Chapters may also be printed.

Search results are displayed at the book chapter level. From the search results page, you can view the PDF. The  PDF may load in your browser window or it may open PDF reader software such as Adobe, depending on the software and browser plug-ins you may have installed. You can choose to download or print the PDF once it has opened.
