New eReader

Taylor & Francis will have a new books eReader starting February 17, 2025. The new eReader wil support PDF and ePubs and will have a "read aloud" function and other personalization features such as adjustable font size and styles, bookmarks, notes, highlighting, and more.

When is this happening?
We are gradually migrating and will host both readers for a short period, from January through to February 16, 2025.

Will the changes impact me?
The new and improved eReader has a range of features which will improve the reading experience for all users.
IMPORTANT: If you have used personalization features like Bookshelf, Bookmarks, and Notes on the old eReader, you will need to set them up again in the new eReader by February 16, 2025; we are unable to transfer existing records or instances to the new eReader.

How do I know if I am using the old or new eReader?
You can navigate to the new eReader by using the “Download” button on eBook product pages. The “Read Online” button will temporarily take you through to the old eReader.

Can I use the same username/email and password for my new account?
The username and password login credentials will remain valid for the platform. Logging in using these credentials provides access to both ereaders and enables the use of personalization features.

What is the process for transferring my existing bookshelf/bookmarks/notes to the new eReader?
If you have created a bookshelf, bookmarks or notes, these will be available on the old reader until it closes on the February 16, 2025 . Before that date, you will need to copy over to the new eReader any personalization you want to keep.

Please note that it is not possible to export and import existing personalization features between the eReaders due to technical changes in the domains and content formats.
